NPS Update (Alamosa River Restoration Phase III (a)):We will complete River Construction work on all 6 properties by December 15th.   The CCC Operators are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.  Check out some of the pictures on the NPS Pictures tab.

The drill from the National Turkey Federation will be available December 17th, and broadcast seeding of an NRCS native grass and forbs groundcover mix will take place the next 2 weeks.  Dormant Seeding is looking a bit risky still, with no moisture!  Pray for snow...

NRD Update (Alamosa River Restoration Phase III (b)):
After a long process of Qualification reviews, reference checks and interviews, ARWRF has selected Lidstone and Associates, out of Fort Collins, to complete the restoration design on the final 5600 ft. of stream.  The design will be completed by mid-2013.  Competitive bid process and selection of construction contractor should take place into early Fall of 2013.  ARWRF hopes for construction to take place in the Fall of 2013.

RIVERWATCHERS!  Sampling December 8th, meet at Maya's at 9:30 a.m.  I'll pack lunch.  May be a long day given that we can probably drive all the way to our top sampling site!  Dress warm...
